Description

Great thanks, Richard, for your fantastic SHO data. For me it was a quite challenge to process it. My processing software (Fitswork and MaximDL5 )are outdated and barely could held such huge files. Also the last driver's update change settings for histograms, I realized that when Uwe Deutermann did send me his Pacman 700 Mb. SHO data. My software see the histograms as a very thin line, impossible to do anything before histogram stretch. I use Victor Frankenstein's method by mixing several new and old programs hopefully HE IS ALIVE! Initially I used SiriL to properly stretch histogram (Maxim does the same job with sometimes weird results), the next step - I use Fitswork to remove halos around stars, gradient removal, nebula background flatten, deconvolution, color manipulations, sharpening etc. In the end I use GIMP to fix white balance (works very good ), contrast etc. I do not mask the stars (I really should) and seriously thinking to switch to more advance software as PixInsight and Photoshop.

Description: Learning the PI modules, deconvolution is fantastic in comparison with Fitswork and Maxim, noise wavelets too, I made a bit crispy image (in my opinion) to see how it works with nebula details, very impressive.

Description: re-processing, interesting that the Siril gives better histogram's transformation over Maxim and PI. Colder image but the background is black and the stars are almost white
